Sarsden Quarry in West Oxfordshire covers an area of 3.5ha and is located approximately 4kms south of Chipping Norton, just off the A361.
The quarry was reopened in 2015 under the operational management of Johnston Quarry Group in order to supply the range of products traditionally produced at this important quarry.
The reopening of Sarsden Quarry has been led by significant investment in plant, machinery, labour, Health & Safety and administration requirements by Johnston Quarry Group.
Historically renowned as a quarry capable of supply large Cotswold stone block for cutting into ashlar, sawn and cropped building stone and a variety of bespoke masonry products. Since its reopening the range of products have increased with a full range of crushed and graded construction and decorative aggregate products, agricultural lime and a range of hand sorted and dressed building stone. The building stone and walling stone has a traditional Cotswold off-white to cream colour and can be sorted and sized to suit any client requirement.
