The perfect machine for all seasons.
The Johnston Quarry Group has recently purchased a new ‘JCB Fantini Chainsaw’, tractor mounted stone saw which will be used to increase efficiency in the Group’s Quarrying and Processing operations alongside minimising waste leaving the quarry.
Investment in the JCB Fantini machine replaces the need for wire saws for block squaring and the highly versatile self-contained unit is easily manoeuvrable by a single operator, can position itself alongside limestone block for cutting, as opposed to having to transport blocks from the sites to our in-house processing works. This will also greatly reduce the need for large lifting equipment moving blocks, saving time and money and allow for safe transportation of top and tailed limestone block on flatbed arctic’s.
The Fantini chainsaw also requires no water and does not require external ancillary power devices so has a much smaller impact on the environment and can easily be transported between our sites.
The machine uses well proven diamond cutting segments, in common with several other Fantini’s used at Bath Stone Group in our Stoke Hill Mine at Limpley Stoke, Bath.
To further strengthen the Groups position in the Limestone and Ironstone Block marketplace, sawn two sides scants, accurately cut to our customers’ requirements will soon be available, thereby minimising the transport of waste and ensuring our customers maximum yield and assurances of premium quality block.
Thank you to Guy Senaud and all the team at Fantini for their excellent customer service and ongoing support.
